I am an internationally experienced lawyer passionate about what I do - working alongside a diverse range of incredible individuals and businesses in the technology and high-growth space who are genuinely moving the dial for New Zealand Inc. and our people.
Why? Because it means I get to contribute to an incredible collective mission, showcasing New Zealand's talent, products and technology to the world. Practically, this means I get to collaborate with clients helping them navigate their legal and commercial challenges, as well as pursue their aspirations, partnerships and strategic opportunities.
In my work I guide clients through the commercialisation of their intellectual property, advise on consumer and privacy and data protection law compliance matters and support fintech, telecommunications, gaming, food and beverage and energy sector projects. I have a particular interest in the legal, commercial and strategic considerations arising from the development and deployment of AI technologies across New Zealand industry (and the challenges and opportunities this presents to our clients). I am a contributor to the NZ AI Forum’s large language models working group.
In my career I have also worked extensively with local and central government sector agencies, so I also bring a nuanced understanding of government procurement rules and processes. This lets me help clients navigate the government sector's risk appetite and legal touchpoints. I specialise in streamlining negotiations in this space, so that all parties can cut to the chase.
